Do you get more respect from your kids if you're a strict parent? Does this approach to parenting work for you? A Chinese author has written about her method of parenting - it includes how she threatened to burn her daughter's stuffed animals if she failed to perform the piano perfectly. She says she knows of similar strict parents from many other faiths and cultures including Indians. Is the strict approach the best approach?
