Social experiment in which five single mums from all over Britain move into a large Somerset mansion with their kids for a month and are joined by five single fathers and their children. Will the single mums find out if communal living with men is better than living on their own? Richard takes over as leader, and after Emily's surprise exit decides to lift the spirits by taking the single parents on a break from the mansion. But his idea of a holiday, camping in the middle of winter, is hell for some of the single mums, especially city slickers Melissa and Roxanne. Sam and Rikki get even closer under canvas, and Richard relishes his first ever holiday with daughter Jessica.
