World Pipe Band Championships - 2009

Jackie Bird introduces the 2009 World Pipe Band Championships from Glasgow Green. Eight thousand pipers representing 250 bands from 16 different countries are meeting in the city for the highlight of the piping year. BBC Scotland has extensive coverage from one of the biggest musical and cultural events of the year, including the elite Grade 1 competition, where last year's champions, the Simon Frazer University Pipe Band from Canada, seek to retain their crown.
