Lopa Kothari presents her selection of the best releases from around the world, plus a concert performance from the 2009 Darbar festival by the Dhrupad singer Wasifuddin Dagar. Steeped in a musical lineage, which it is said has been passed down through his family over 20 generations, Wasifuddin Dagar maintains the distinct musical approaches to Dhrupad song inherited from his father and uncle. In this concert performance, he is accompanied by Mohan Shyam Sharma on Pakhawaj and Gunwant Kaur and Raniana Ghatak playing the tanpuras.
