Tony McManus has been acclaimed as 'the finest guitarist Scotland has ever produced' and 'the Jeff Beck of the acoustic guitar'. He is currently on a rare visit to the UK from his home in Canada, but it was before his move that he made his reputation in Scotland, playing in the lively session scene in Glasgow and Edinburgh. He has cultivated his own 'Celtic' style of guitar playing, which reflects all the phrasing and ornaments of traditional Scots pipe or fiddle music.
