Words and Music

Iberia

A sequence of poetry and music inspired by the sights and sounds of the Iberian Peninsula. Music by Granados, Falla and Miles Davis is combined with examples of the flamenco and fado traditions, while Andrew Wincott and Yolanda Vazquez read work by Portuguese and Spanish writers such as Lorca and Fernando Pessoa. This is complemented by atmospheric writing by outsiders such as Byron, Washington Irving and Ted Hughes.
