With Jenni Murray. Eglantyne Jebb had a busy life. In her 52 years she launched an international aid operation, saved the lives of millions of children, redefined how child welfare operates, and wrote social policy of permanent significance. Jenni Murray talks to Clare Mulley, author of a new biography of Eglanytne Jebb, the founder of Save the Children. A new 'fat-busting' pill has gone on sale over the counter. Woman's Hour considers whether dieting mechanisms like these can ever work without confronting the pyschological and emotional issues that may have caused overeating or obesity in the first place. Jenni Murray is also joined by award-winning choreographer Shobana Jeyasingh. Inspired by Heston Blumenthal, she has created a new full-length dance piece which draws on the parallels between international choreography and cookery. Professor Karen Heywood has won the Georg Wust Prize for her outstanding contribution to oceanography. She joins Jenni to talk about her 25 years studying the seas, leading research cruises from the Nordic Seas to the Southern Ocean Plus the drama Laudy Audley's Secret.
