She recently returned to the US to see what has become of the girls as teenagers for her film Painted Babies Growing Up. Writer Bea Campbell discusses the role women played in getting the massively expanded equality laws into the Good Friday Agreement and how they are now working in practice. She is joined by Inez McCormack, former President of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions. Kristina, Celeste and Juliana were born into the Children of God, a cult which promised love, forgiveness and kindness. But from the age of three, each of them was subjected to sexual abuse. They explain how they survived and why they are determined to help thousands of children trapped in abusive cults today.
