Biographer Jennifer Birkett joins Sheila to talk about the work and political activities of a remarkable woman, the writer Storm Jameson. The Football Association is planning to recruit 8,000 new referees in the next three years. As part of this recruitment drive it is actively trying to attract more women to the job. Someone who has taken the plunge is reporter Stephanie Power; we hear how she got on refereeing her first match. Midwife Juliet Albert will be advertising operations that reverse female genital mutilation on a Somali satellite TV station popular with the Somali community in Britain.
