Presented by Jane Garvey. The Russian singer and violinist Marina Laslo joins Jane to talk about her life, and sings live in the studio. A new novel by Karen Maitland, 'The Owl Killers', imagines a beguinage in England. Karen talks to Jane about the lives of the beguines with Pascal Majerus from Queen Mary University. When her son Andrew killed himself, Caroline was bewildered as to why he had done it. Then, as she found out more, she realised that his problems may have been linked to a terrible head injury he had suffered when he was seven that could have affected his pituitary gland. Jane talks to Caroline about her son, and they are joined by Consultant Endocrinologist, Dr Tara Kearney. Including drama: This Book Will Save Your Life.
