With Jane Garvey. Dr Heidi Kastner is the forensic psychiatrist who had to assess the mental state of Josef Fritzl, the Austrian found guilty of locking his daughter in a cellar for 24 years, raping her and murdering one of the seven children he fathered by her. He was also convicted of incest and enslavement. Dr Kastner was the expert witness for the prosecution. She talks to Jane about meeting Fritzl, who she interviewed alone six times before producing her report, in which she concluded that he was sane enough to stand trial. The Book of Tomorrow is Cecelia Ahern's seventh novel in six years. The 27-year old Irish writer has sold over 10 million books, comprehensively dismissing the critics who said that she only got her work published because she had a famous father - the former Taoiseach of Ireland, Bertie Ahern. Cecelia joins Jane to talk about her new novel, why she chose to branch out into writing mysteries, and how books can rescue you when times are tough. Angel Delight, fish paste and Vesta packet meals were just some of the easy-to-prepare foods that were consumed in the 1960s and 70s. So what is it that intrigues us about these foods and why, despite our more sophisticated palettes today, do many people still continue to search them out? Jane is joined by Philippa Lamb, author of Battenberg Britain, and Guardian food writer Mathew Fort to discuss our nostalgia for these pre-prepared delicacies.
