With Jenni Murray. Including: Should women in the armed forces be allowed to do everything that their male colleagues do? There are currently 500 British women serving in our armed forces in Afghanistan. On a daily basis they put their lives at risk, just like their male colleagues. But, unlike their male colleagues, there are still military roles from which they are excluded. The MOD is once again taking a look at whether or not female soldiers should be allowed to take part in close combat. Banning conkers, cancelling village fetes, taking down hanging baskets, outlawing school trips - it sometimes seems as if the Health and Safety Executive exists for no other reason than to spoil everyone's fun. And it's the job of Judith Hackitt, chair of the HSE, to convince us otherwise. Jenni talks to Judith about why she once set her hands (safely) on fire to make her point. If your home is still full of furniture from the 1960s, 70s and 80s, you'll be delighted to hear that it's all back in fashion. We find out what's particularly collectible, and why we seem to love retro furniture so much. And, as part of Winning Women's Votes 2010, we ask how can we best restore a moral code in society? The Conservatives talk about how to fix 'Broken Britain', while Labour tackles 'chaotic families'. To what extent should the government regulate our behaviour? Who holds authority in Britain now? And who can children look up to and respect?
