With Jenni Murray. In June 2008, Ben Kinsella was stabbed while out celebrating finishing his GCSEs; he later died of his injuries. The story made headline news, partly because Ben's sister, Brooke Kinsella, was an actress, well known for appearing in EastEnders, but also because it seemed an unprovoked, vicious attack. Together with Ben's friends and family, Brooke launched an anti-knife crime campaign, drawing the public's attention to the issue. Brooke joins Jenni to talk about her experiences in the last year, which also saw Ben's three killers convicted. Brigitte Bardot was the original sex kitten, whose blonde bombshell looks made her one of the greatest fashion icons of the 20th century. Her rise to fame in the early 1960s coincided with - and helped to create - a new breed of photography, street paparazzi, in which stars were snapped as they went about their lives. To coincide with Brigitte Bardot's 75th birthday, and the 50th anniversary of the coming to prominence of the paparazzi, Jenni discusses the development of a new image of womanhood and female sexuality. With a fifth of 11-year olds in England leaving primary school unable to write a proper sentence, Jenni discusses what role parents have to play in pre-school education with Phil Beadle, author of Could Do Better: Help Your Own Child Shine At School, and Margaret Morrissey, who runs the Parents Outloud website.
