With Jane Garvey. Carly Simon was born into a musical family and started her singing career as one part of The Simon Sisters. After going solo, she went on to have many successful records including You're so Vain, though even now she refuses to say who she wrote the song about. She also sang the James Bond theme song Nobody Does it Better and in 1988 she won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Grammy for Let The River Run, the opening theme song she wrote and performed for the film Working Girl. She talks about her life in music and is joined by her band for a live performance of You're so Vain. As part of its Winning Women's Votes series of discussions, the programme looks at the Welsh Assembly and the Scottish Parliament. Both these devolved assemblies have significant numbers of women members, the Welsh Assembly with 47 per cent women members and the Scottish Parliament with 35 per cent. Nicola Sturgeon, deputy first minister of the Scottish Parliament, and Helen Mary Jones, deputy leader of Plaid Cymru, join Jane to discuss if policy and behaviour are affected by such significant numbers of women politicians. This is a big year for actress Julianne Moore. She's played Colin Firth's character's closest friend, Charlotte, in the much talked about A Single Man and has a leading role in psychological drama Chloe. Jane talks to Julianne about relationships, love and sex, and her children's book Freckleface Strawberry.
