With Jane Garvey. Jane talks to American 'folkabilly' singer-songwriter Nanci Griffith, winner of this year's Lifetime's Achievement Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. They discuss the award, her life and career so far, and her latest album, The Loving Kind. Insurers have identified a new risk category: older female drivers. Until the age of 60 men have a worse accident record than women. But after that age, women are increasingly responsible for motor insurance claims, and once they reach their 80s are making far more claims than men of the same age. Edmund King, president of the AA, and motoring commentator Maria McCarthy join Jane to discuss how and why these changes have taken place. Denise Affonço'a comfortable life in Phnom Penh was torn apart when the Khmer Rouge seized power in 1975. Denise and her family, along with millions of their fellow citizens, were deported to a living hell in the countryside where, for almost four years, they endured hard labour, famine, sickness and death. Denise shares her experiences with Jane. Top British female alpine skier Chemmy Alcott began skiing at 18 months. A fierce determination to keep up with her older brothers developed her competitive instincts and since then she's gone on to become one of the most successful British female skiers ever. She came 11th in the Downhill at the 2006 Olympics and went on to become the first British woman to qualify for and race in the World Cup Finals. Chemmy now has her sights set on gold at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She joins Jane to discuss her preparations.
