Where Scotland Meets England

Hardeep Singh Kholi traces the history of the border country between England and Scotland. Beginning the second leg of his journey at Liddesdale in the County of Roxburgh and ending at Gretna in the west, Hardeep explores the history of the area. Also, at a time when Scottish devolution and the promise of a referendum on independence has brought renewed attention to the borderline, he hears the views of those who live there, including the politician Lord Steel and the broadcaster Eric Robson.
