When Brendan Met Trudy

Romantic comedy drama written by Roddy Doyle. Brendan is a teacher, baritone and movie fan, whose engagement with real life is somewhat precarious. When he meets Trudy, a girl from the west of Ireland, he thinks she is also a teacher. In reality she is a thief, and as Brendan introduces Trudy to the glories of pre-Star Wars cinema, so she introduces him to the joys of crime and sex.
