What lengths do we need to go to "look good"? Do we really need to communicate with our fellow men? How important is it to work? Or to have a relationship? What To Do If You're Not Like Everybody Else is a four part mini-series of short comedic monologues on BBC Radio 4 written and performed by the stand-up comedian Andrew Lawrence, taking a light-hearted look at various aspects of conventional living and the pressure we feel to conform to social norms and ideals. Each episode is fifteen minutes long and was recorded in front of an audience, the first two episodes at South London comedy club 'Up The Creek', the final two recorded at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival. This first episode examines the effort we all put into our personal appearance and the pressure we feel to look good.
