It's been said that Wales has produced more world class tenors per head of population than any other country on earth. But Wales is changing and the singing traditions are dying out. Only Men Aloud's Tim Rhys-Evans is a life-long fan of the tenor voice and searches out two young potential talents of the future. Sixteen-year-old Reuben from Gower uses singing to help him cope with Asperger's syndrome. Air cadet Ben joined the Pontardulais male voice choir after a successful turn at a karaoke night. Tim finds out about some of the popular Welsh tenors of the past including Ben Davies from Pontardawe, David Lloyd from Flintshire and Gowerton's Walter Glynne. He meets internationally acclaimed tenor Robert Tear, originally from Barry, who has made over 250 recordings and sung at opera houses all over the world. Welsh soprano Rebecca Evans gives Tim her take on whether the tenor always gets the girl and Tim is let loose in Cardiff market with a microphone. Does everyone really love a tenor?
