Weatherman Walking - Series 4 - Misty Mountain and Middle Earth

In the third programme of this new series, weatherman Derek Brockway heads off on two walks as different as chalk and cheese. In the first walk Derek conquers Cnicht - 'The Welsh Matterhorn' - a proper pointy peak on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park overlooking Porthmadog and the beautiful Glaslyn estuary. Then in complete contrast, he follows in the footsteps of Romans and Medieval monks as he discovers the delights of the Gwent Levels, Wales's very own low country - an unusual mixture of reens, gouts and furrows.
