The Financial Reporting Council has published an updated code on the way big companies are run. It says all directors on company boards of the top 350 companies listed on the stock market should face annual re-election by shareholders. A BBC investigation has found that millions of pounds are being wasted on pay-as-you-go cards like Oyster. Last year, 5,000 people lost out to scams while buying tickets for music festivals.
