Due to technical difficulties on Saturday 3rd April 2010 the Vernon Kay Footy competition was cancelled. The BBC has decided to offer refunds to all listeners, who wish to claim one, who entered the competition following the show transmitted on Saturday 3rd April, subject to the following: (please note refunds are only available to listeners who sent it a text beginning with the keyword FOOTY during the following times 12:12-12:22) 1.- Requests for refunds can be made by emailing us at [email protected] 2.- Any request for a refund must contain the following details: (i) telephone number from which the competition entry was made; (ii) the network for the number from which the vote was made (if known, e.g. Vodafone, Orange); (iii) name of the person requesting the refund; (iv) address to which the refund postal order should be sent; (iv) contact telephone number, if different from the number you used to vote. 3.- Requests for refunds by telephone must be made by midnight on Friday 16th April 2010. 4.- Requests for refunds must be made with the permission of the telephone bill-payer for the line from which the vote was made. 5.- The BBC reserves the right to verify the information provided in the refund request and reject any such request which does not contain all the required information or where the information is not sufficiently clear or legible or where there are reasonable grounds to suspect that a refund request is fraudulent. 6.- The BBC will endeavour to pay any refunds within 28 days of receipt of the relevant request. Payment will be made by postal order which can be exchanged for cash at any Post Office at no charge to the bearer. 7.- Any person placing a request for refund, in doing so, will consent (and, where necessary, cause the bill-payer’s consent to be granted) to the BBC processing any personal data involved, which might be necessary to process, verify and pay the refund. 8.- Please note that the BBC is offering this refund as a gesture of goodwill. Nothing herein is intended or shall be deemed to constitute any admission of liability by the BBC.
