Two wayward British teenagers experience strict parenting on the other side of the world, as 16-year-old attention-seeking Kaya Elliot from Manchester and 17-year-old lazy college dropout Jay Birch from Canterbury travel to Oklahoma, USA. For a week they must live under the strict rules of the White family. Dad Stacey is the local chief of police and mum Shannon is a deputy. They have five children, four of whom are adopted. Ex-Marine Stacey believes that tough love and strict punishments are the best way to bring up children. The Whites expect the British teens to muck in and work hard at the household chores required of them, as well as performing community service in 100-degree heat. Can the Whites' 'drill instructor' approach to parenting instill self-respect and provoke change in the British teens' behaviour? For the first time in the World's Strictest Parents, the answer could be no.
