1536. Wedded to Jane Seymour, Henry hopes for stability and a son. However, Henry's bliss is soon disturbed by an insurrection of commoners against the suppression of the Catholic church in Yorkshire, and fears that those closer to home, including Jane and the Duke of Suffolk and Charles Brandon, sympathise with the rebels' cause.
