The Restaurant - Series 2 - The Dinner Party

Amateur cooks compete for the opportunity to go into business with distinguished chef and restaurateur Raymond Blanc. Having tested them with take-away food, Raymond now challenges the three remaining couples to cook three private dinner parties in the homes of some very demanding clients. Each of the three couples find themselves cooking and serving in unfamiliar houses full of expectant guests. One client demands a completely different theme, while flying in friends from all over Europe to taste it. Another couple must work together in the riverside home of some professional event managers in the Oxfordshire village of Bray - they know Raymond will not tolerate any further mistakes from them. And another couple must be on their very best behaviour as they cook six courses for a judge, his wife and their guests in a Tudor stately home. Even before dinner is served, composure crumbles. Then for some, everything is late, food goes wrong, the wine runs out, and improvisation takes over... and for one of the couples their dream of opening a restaurant with Raymond comes to an end.
