After opening night three couples find themselves in Raymond's challenge. But they have no idea what it will be. Summoned to meet Raymond for a briefing, the couples find him in the last place they'd expect: the fried breakfast bar at a motorway service station. He tells them that their chances of staying open depend on devising a menu that will persuade as many motorway travellers as possible to eat at their food bars in three different service stations. To do this they must come up with promotional ideas that will stand out from the familiar fast-food competition. It's ladles and chip pans at dawn as the army of hungry and hurrying holidaymakers arrive to find their pit stop is not exactly what they have been expecting. And Raymond's inspectors take to the road to sample, take notes and report back, because one couple is about to lose their restaurant.
