After seven eventful weeks running their restaurants, the two surviving couples come head to head in the final. Their most demanding challenge yet sees one couple win the prize, going into a restaurant business with Raymond Blanc, while the losers leave with nothing. For this ultimate challenge the couples pack up and close the doors to their restaurants for the final time before setting off on a journey. They must cater for a group of discerning guests on one of the world's most romantic railway journeys. With tiny kitchens, narrow carriages and the swaying train beneath them the chefs must cook and front of house must serve a lavish five-course menu to discerning passengers, all under the watchful eye of Raymond and his inspectors. Ambition thwarts, menus are misjudged, memories fail, the wine disappoints and dud gifts leave guests perplexed: all packed into a journey aboard Europe's most famous train.
