Pairs of amateur cooks compete for the opportunity to go into business with chef and restaurateur Raymond Blanc. Raymond tests the couples' management skills by seeing how well they can train their staff in sales technique. To make the task more challenging, he gives all the restaurants eels, which many chefs struggle to prepare and cook. In one restaurant, a wedding anniversary is ruined.
