The Planners Are Coming - Permission Impossible

With an ageing population, the need for retirement flats is increasing. Leading developers McCarthy and Stone meet their match in the residents of Witham, Essex, who are prepared to fight the planned replacement of three family houses with 37 flats every step of the way. Even when planning permission has been granted, the Planning Department still monitors what's happening. In North London, Head of Enforcement, Joe Henry, is furious to discover that a house has been built much larger than the original plans. The luxury home is almost complete but Joe has it in his power to force its demolition. In East London, two churches operating without permission find that their continued existence is in the lap of the gods when Enforcement Officer John Ayres decides to pay them a call.
