Have you ever felt like ditching your day job to pursue your dream of being a musician? Glasgwegian singer songwriter Christine Bovill did exactly that. She talks to Bruce about the fears and excitement of walking away from teaching and onto the stage. It's 40 years since Jimi Hendrix died. An exhibition in his former London flat chronicles the time he spent living and playing in Britain. Martin Wyatt, from the Hendrix in Britain exhibiton tells Bruce how Hendrix offstage, was a completly different person to the one we know on stage. "Sherlock" is a violin inspired by and made from a sycamore tree from Arthur Conan Doyle's childhood home in Edinburgh. It's just been included into the Edinburgh University collection of historical instruments and is about to embark on a tour of Scotland showcasing the music of William McGibbon and Sir Alexander Campbell MacKenzie. Before the tour started it came into the studio for Bruce to play.
