Started as a retirement project by Ian Green from his home near Edinburgh, to date they have released over 450 albums and continue to push all aspects of traditional music. Greentrax has been the launch pad for what today are household names, Shooglenifty, Salsa Celtica, Dick Gaughan and Eric Bogle to name just a few. Ahead of Celtic Connections Ian Green joins Bruce to talk about his 25 years at the helm of Greentrax and considers the impact one man has on the traditional music scene. A new project in Edinburgh led by Dyslexia Scotland is helping young musicians in the capital overcome their literacy problems through music. Like Beethoven, Mozart and John Lennon before them music helps dyslexia suffers express themselves creatively where at times words have failed. Bob Dickson speaks Scottish rapper Arnaud Touanga about how his music helps him overcome his dyslexia.
