The TV debates were the big new media event this campaign, but has their success been at the expense of the newspapers? Steve Hewlett discusses this with Anne McElvoy of the London Evening Standard and Professor George Brock of City University. Reports this week have claimed that allowing children to watch TV in their early years causes long-term harm to their development. But is that what the research really shows?
