We kick off with The Distillers, an American punk band who formed in Los Angeles in 1998. Originally formed by Australian-born Brody Dalle who played guitar, sang, and wrote or co-wrote nearly every song on the band's three albums. Brody and former Distillers member Tony Bevilacqua have since formed a new band called Spinnerette. Plus a session from Welsh indie band, Helen Love, whose music is a combination of punk rock, bubblegum pop and disco dance music. The main thematic elements in their oeuvre are Joey Ramone, and summer days. Revel in the last moments of Summer with this session from 1998. To wrap-up the Live Music Hour we have the now defunct Royal Trux in session for Maryanne Hobbs at Radio 1 in May 1998. live.
