The Huey Show - Suggs sits in for Huey

Logo for The Huey Show - Suggs sits in for Huey

Madness frontman Suggs brings stories, humour and his brand of music to a Sunday afternoon as he sits in for Huey. In his final week in for Huey he is joined in the studio by Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford, the song-writing team behind one our biggest indie pop exports Squeeze. Since 1974 Glenn and Chris alongside with a changing line-up of artists including Jools Holland in the original line-up have turned out hits including 'Cool For Cats', 'Up The Junction' and 'Labelled With Love'. They join Suggs to talk about their new release 'Sopt The Difference' in which they have painstakingly recreated 14 of their best-loved hits, inviting listeners to spot the difference from the original. They'll also be chewing the fat with Suggs about the art of songwriting, the key to a band's longevity and their shared love of London town. In 'The Lost Art of Conversation' Suggs is celebrating the joy of the chinwag and encouraging a noted raconteur to move away from their computer, abandon Ikea and indulge in the delight of a Sunday afternoon natter, perhaps over a quiet pint. Suggs will also be asking a listener which record they'd like us to drop the needle on in Vinyl Fetish and spinning tracks from his personal record collection including some choice ska and reggae cuts.
