Five senior prison managers have been charged with gross misconduct for transferring difficult and vulnerable inmates, allegedly in an effort to deceive inspectors. With banks profits soaring, the days of the big bonuses look like they could be back, even in banks which the taxpayer has bailed out. Are bankers incorrigible? A windfall tax on banks' profits may now the only way forward. The three main Westminster party leaders appear before a committee of MPs to answer questions on what they would do to increase the number of women and ethic minorities in the House of Commons.
