'Rebels with a Cause: The Jacobites and the Global Imagination' - We hear all about a major exhibition at the Scottish Parliament which explores and challenges traditional assumptions about the Jacobites and highlights the worldwide aspects of the Jacobite story. This free exhibition has been curated in partnership between the Scottish Parliament and the University of Aberdeen and draws upon rarely seen and internationally significant material from the University's collection. Driving with Plato: The Meaning of Life's Milestones: as Christmas approaches and many of us pause to reflect, author Robert Rowland-Smith joins Clare to shed some light on some of the biggest questions in life; eg 'if life is as meaningless as Sartre suggests, what is the point of being born? He'll explain why he believes that 'taking a drive' with some of the greatest thinkers can give us refreshing new insights into life's milestones, such as the first day at school and the first kiss - and becoming wise in your old age. Christine Borland - 16 years after "From Life" at Tramway, Turner Prize nominated artist, Christine Borland has her first solo show in Glasgow in over a decade. The outcome of a production Residency at Glasgow Sculpture studios, where we went along to watch her at work: work which builds on research she's been undertaking for some time in medical and forensic institutions. Frozenlight/Shininglight - Tom Morton explains how he's been helping '60s survivor'- Colin Betts publish his amazing 60s memoir and play script; Colin ran away with the Rolling Stones aged 14, busked with Nick Drake, ran drugs, was propositioned by the Manson Family in LA.and now lives in very obscure circumstances in the borders. His remarkable story is now out, but, the thing is, it's ONLY available electronically.
