We'll also be exploring a fascinating Cabinet of Curiosities: Aberdeen University have just had a reconstruction of a Philipp Hainhofer cabinet of curiosities created by a local furniture maker for use with schools and other community groups. The idea is to offer them a high quality, prestigious vehicle to put together, classify and display a collection that relates to them and their interests. We'll hear all about it and about the wonderful world of these ancient artefacts. Artie Trezise of the Singing Kettle discusses its enduring appeal and how it's so often the first the introduction to theatre for kids in Scotland All that and Hand Me Down - an original performance piece at the Arches - made in collaboration with a group of ten women - aged 69 to 6 - from the same family in Port Glasgow and spanning four generations, it explores the complex relationships between the women, their rituals and things they have passed down. All on the Culture Cafe.
