The Big Heat

Harrowing film noir about an honest cop determined to bust police corruption and the stranglehold of the Mafia. At first he innocently begins investigating the Mafia-related killing of a fellow cop, but things turn nasty when his wife is killed in a car bomb blast meant for him, his child is threatened with kidnapping and he loses his job.
