The Archers - 17/10/2010

Jazzer complains that Harry's spare room is the size of a shoe box. He's also unimpressed with the Tour de France posters, so he replaces them with some girlie ones, and puts his pig overalls to soak in the bath. Harry's not worried. The overalls can be put through the machine later. They'll get along fine. Peggy's getting to grips with the internet under Harry's tutelage. She marvels at the amount of information at her fingertips but wonders how to narrow it down; there's an old wartime friend she'd like to find. Vicky's psyching herself up to tell Ed she can't sell the veal. But things don't go well. Ed thinks Vicky should have listened to him from the start. Vicky suggests keeping one or two calves back for Ian, but Ed counters it's not worth the bother. When Vicky naively suggests they could use them for breeding bulls, it's too much for Ed and a full scale row ensues. Insults are thrown, and Vicky's parting shot is that Ed's not fit to run a pets' corner. Mike's horrified and wants to try and smooth things over but Vicky will only be happy with a full itemised invoice and an apology.
