Brenda's all dressed up ready to subtly lobby some local councillors for Matt at Oliver's cheese launch. Tom helps Adam with the sheep at the last minute as Brian's shattered - Ruairi's been unsettled by Jennifer going away and hasn't been sleeping. Adam's impressed by Brian's sensitivity towards Ruairi - it's certainly brought out a different side of him. They discuss the recent poor weather, and the threat of foot and mouth. Tom's surprised to hear that Alice is going to stay with Adam and Ian until she goes off on her gap year. Oliver nervously hosts his Sterling Gold launch at Grey Gables. Roy is jumpy about snakes when Helen shows him Clarrie's front page story in the Echo. Helen does an interview with Radio Borsetshire and manages to promote her Borsetshire Blue and its medal at the British Cheese Awards. Roy asks Oliver to keep his ears open for places for him and Hayley to live. When Brenda encourages Helen to chat up one of the councillors with a big bank balance, Helen says she can see why Brenda's working for Matt. Tom's defensive when Brenda and Helen discuss Emma's concerns about Will's new girlfriend, saying that people ought to leave Will alone to get on with his life. Episode written by Graham Harvey.
