Ruth and David both show up at the ploughing match. Thankfully David's able to fix a fuel leak and Bert wins the contest. But with arch rival Jimmy Prentice a close second, Bert doesn't think he can catch him up and win the county championship. Fallon wants to get Ed something special for his birthday. He'd like the DVD of the Transformers movie - and confesses that he loved Transformers as a kid. He tells Fallon about his brilliant Optimus Prime model, and how upset he was when Clarrie gave it away. Fallon teaches Ed the tricks of the trade. He soon gets the hang of pulling pints, and is well impressed when he sees the cellar. Fallon tells Ed he's been brilliant, and she's really grateful for his help. She's disappointed when Ed has to go. Emma admits to Kirsty that it felt strange seeing Nic alone with George. Kirsty accepts it must be hard but suggests Emma puts the shoe on the other foot. When she hooks up with someone, he'll have to get on with George, and then Will will have to adjust. But Emma hasn't hooked up with anyone, and the way things are she can't see it happening.
