In the community shop, Lynda and Joe are working companionably. Joe puts out bottles of wine while Lynda sorts out the DVDs. Lynda confides that she was hoping the fete committee would ask her to write the whodunnit for the fete. However, they were not forthcoming. Joe says she should write it anyway - after all, no-one else will! She should do it right now, while the shop is quiet. Lynda makes a start. She thinks of a wonderful title - "The Strange Affair at Ambridge Towers..." It's the anniversary of Sid and Jolene's wedding, and the day Jolene has chosen to scatter his ashes on the cricket square. It's a simple ceremony, with Tony saying a few words about his old friend. Everyone is very upset, and when the moment comes and Jolene says goodbye, Jamie can't bear it and walks away. Tony follows Jamie to try and help, but Jamie is very distressed and Tony feels he hasn't really done much good. Kathy realises that she should have let Kenton come with them. Jamie really needed him there.
