Sweet Sixteen - Series 1 - Growing Up

Five 60 minute films follow the lives of teenagers in North London as they approach the end of their school days and the beginning of adult life. According to the local head-teacher 'Opportunities here are limited - This is an area where 16 -18 year olds are more likely to go to prison than university...' So bad is Rachel's truancy habit that her eight month pregnant mother has to sit guarding the school exit to make sure she doesn't leave the premises. But when her mother goes into labour Rachel is suddenly left unchaperoned. Meanwhile best friends Dana and Dawn are facing up to the fact that it's all going to be very different when they leave school.
