Sunday Half Hour - 29/11/2009

The Advent season marks the beginning of the liturgical year, as preparations get underway for Christmas. The themes celebrated throughout Advent include hope, joy and peace. On this, the first Sunday in Advent, Brian D'Arcy looks specifically at Advent hope. The programme features music from the Glasgow Chamber Choir and hymns include O Come O Come Emmanuel, Hark The Glad Sound and Lo He Comes With Clouds Descending. The choir is directed by Michael Bawtree and the organist is David Hamilton.
