Sportscene - Rangers v St Johnstone

Rangers meet cup specialists St Johnstone with a place in the Co-operative Insurance Cup final at stake. The sides have met in cup competitions in each of the last three seasons. In 2006 a Steven Milne double dumped Paul le Guen's Rangers out of this competiton at the quarter-final stage. Then, in 2008, the Glasgow side needed penalties to overcome their Perth rivals in the Scottish Cup semi-finals. And last season, Rangers were 2-0 victors in the fourth round of the same competition at McDiarmid Park. The Ibrox side last won this trophy in 2008 in a dramatic penalty shoot-out with Dundee Utd. Meanwhile the Saints, who returned to the SPL this season, put Dundee Utd out of this competition in the last round.
