Made-for-TV remake of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical about love on a Pacific island during World War II. An American nurse falls for a widowed plantation owner who is many years her senior, has children of his own and is set in his ways, while a young marine and a local girl find themselves facing prejudice when they fall in love.
