Ortis Dealey relives the magic at the Sorcerer's school where fourteen hopefuls had competed to become the Sorcerer's Apprentice. Away from home for two weeks, the wannabes were thrown straight in at the deep end as they had just 24 hours to master the ancient art of escapology. The Sorcerer demanded the best from his pupils and eliminated two children from the contest every other day as he whittled the wannabes down. Martha and Brihony found the going too tough and quit, whilst Max and James were the first casualties of the Sorcerer's tough contest. Magician on the move David Penn dropped by to wow audiences around the country with his unique style of street magic, whilst special guests from the world of magic entertained dropped by to encourage and mentor the children in their specific areas of expertise. Competing in a variety of tricky performance challenges and nerve wracking stage shows in front of specially invited audiences, the novice magicians had to tackle some of magic's most recognisable, yet complicated genres with the help from teachers Miss Evans and Mr Knight, who faced their own head to head contests in the hilarious Teacher Challenges. Celebrity weather reader Sian Lloyd dropped by to help with mind magic, but the Sorcerer made his mind up that Dio and Sharna were the next to go. The Sorcerer made a shocking annoucement during silent magic, and comedy magic saw the smiles wiped off Jack and Emma's faces as they were sent packing. Salem, Sophie, Rebecca, Abbie, Elliot and Oliver made it to the shock magic final where Rebecca beat her nerves, and the odds, to be crowned Sorcerer's Apprentice.
