John Inverdale hosts from Murrayfield where Grand Slam winners Wales begin the defence of their crown against Scotland. Wales were unexpected but worthy winners in what was a thrilling tournament last year, but their supporters will remember all too well what happened the year after their last Grand Slam triumph in 2005 when they won just one match - although that victory did come against these opponents. With the likes of IRB International Player of the Year Shane Williams and emerging talent Leigh Halfpenny to call upon, head coach Warren Gatland will be confident of making a winning start, especially given Scotland's recent poor record in the Six Nations. The Scots have not finished higher than third since the tournament was expanded to six teams nine years ago and in that time have twice ended up with the wooden spoon. It is bound to be a fierce contest and with this summer's Lions tour of South Africa looming, there is more than just national pride at stake for players on both sides. Former internationals Andy Nicol, Colin Charvis and Jeremy Guscott are in the studio with match commentary from Andrew Cotter and Jonathan Davies.
