This year's BBC Radio 2 Electric Proms is a very special event, running over three nights at London's famous Roundhouse in Camden, with some of the world's biggest and best-loved stars. Opening night stars Sir Elton John and you can expect a mega-performance here on Radio 2 from 8pm. Tomorrow night, Robert Plant rocks the Roundhouse crowd, and the honeyed tones of Neil Diamond bring the house down on Saturday. Simon Mayo's Drivetime programme is live each night, from the venue capturing the excitement of the night, talking to the stars of the show and featuring live music by some of today's hottest music stars. Tonight, Simon welcomes Rumer and Judie Tzuke to the show who perform cover versions of classic Elton numbers. Singer Kiki Dee and lyricist Gary Osborne also drop in to talk about his brilliant music. Also on today's show, Drivetime chef Nigel Barden rustles up some rock n' roll food, plus the usual travel updates, sports reports and money news.
