Shanks Apprentice - Episode 4

Series following the progress of rookie chef Chris McClurg, who has won a sought-after scholarship to train in Europe's top kitchens and vineyards. Battered and bruised by his London experience, Chris is heading north on the last leg of his scholarship. He's off to Northcote Manor, a Michelin-starred restaurant run by Great British Menu chef Nigel Haworth. Northcote Manor is widely recognised as one of the premier restaurants in the North and a training kitchen second to none. And what a premier experience it turns out to be, as Chris is asked to top the table with a winning meal for the superstar footballers at Blackburn Rovers Football Club. Meanwhile on the sidelines, our rookie chef is faced with some hard decisions that he must tackle. While he has his eyes set firmly on his ultimate goal, could Chris end up passing on a wonderful opportunity from Nigel? Narrated by Paul Rankin.
